Truck Shop Technician

Four / Ten- Hour Shifts (Second Shift)
Job Duties: Experienced diesel mechanic with working knowledge to perform preventative and corrective maintenance on equipment as it relates to the trucking industry.
The successful candidate must have:
Relevant working experience on diagnostic and troubleshooting of truck and truck engines including Cummins, International, and Detroit
Independently and successfully repair, rebuild, and maintain various brands of truck and truck engines in various environmental and working conditions
Safely assemble and disassemble components and equipment according to the manufacturer's specifications, including chassis, axles, etc
Perform preventive maintenance
Perform other work as assigned by supervisor
Have strong working knowledge of electronics, CAT ET, systems and SIS
Electrical knowledge
Basic computer skills
Motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team
Willing to learn and expand skill set
Effective written and verbal communication skills
The successful candidate must also have good human relation skills and abilities and the personality to successfully communicate and problem solve with customers
This position requires a State Inspection License, Air Conditioning certification
Should have, or be able to obtain a CDL license
Accurately complete service reports and provide details to complete work orders
Maintain tool requirements
Additional requirements include:
Work overtime as required
Must meet DOT regulatory & Cleveland Brothers requirements for operating company or related vehicles
Familiar with all DOT regulations and truck operations
Must sign all documentation to meet DOT regulations and company requirements
As a Technician you are required to work in an industrial environment which includes exposure to significant environmental conditions. Physical requirements include:
Overall stamina
Sitting, standing, climbing, walking, lifting, pulling and/or pushing
Carrying, grasping, reaching, stooping and crouching
Listening and speaking
Must have good motor coordination skills
Coordination of eyes, hands, and feet
Verbal intelligence and numerical intelligence
The workplace environmental conditions include subject to noise, heat, cold, injury exposures, and atmospheric exposures
Must be able to lift 50 pounds
Graduate of a technical school, military school, or relevant working experience acceptable to the company.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
